Yesterday I was driving around my school with my car when the battery box came off and got tangled in the wheel and ripped it off. Then it went full trottle into a curb. All because I forgot to put 2 little screws back on:rolleyes: If I didn't have those metal skid plates I could just imagine the damage. I need a new on/off switch with a battery holder and I might be able to glue back the bulkheads, they didn't come out as bad as I thought:) The moral of this pointless post: Never run your car unless the batterys are secure;)
Anyway what kind of crashs did ye come across? Dont be ashamed to admit it:D

Brother was out one day and lost control of his T-MAXX, hit a step, jumped 3 foot into a steel fence :O

New a-arms and turnbuckle, wasnt too bad

I tried ramping a step with a HPI MT2, board on step,
    lined up......
    FULL THROTTLE.......
    Missed the board completely :O

Needed a new tank and suspensio on front, was an awesome crash, MT2 went from full speed to a dead stop at the step, didnt flip or turn, just stopped on the spot :O

I couldnt repeat it again if I tried!

Reciever battery went dead when it was 10 feet away and rocketed for about 100ft up a hill and took a sharp turn for the worst - crashed :) needed to replace the whole front corner of the chassis, even the rim got cracked ;)

then my bro started it for me once
turned the the switch off as he removed his hand. the thing again rocketed off but i had been messing with the steering trim so it missed every curb there was untill it was too fast to turn enough on time! so it took about 3 circles ;) Ill draw something in paint to show its journy oh yeah when it crashed i think not much happened, because I took the liberty at kicking it towards my brother and he stepped on it:D it touchec the curb but only enough to blow a shock

i've only really had one really bad one, i just lost control, it went shooting forwards, mounted a kerb twice its height and went str8 into a hedge, i pretty much broke everthing that was secured in, two servos, a fuel tank, and there was one or two small things too!

My steel roll cage has saved my t-maxx on countless occasions. Doesn't stop the suspension getting ripped off though, which has happend at least 3/4 times. Once just 2 minutes after i'd finished rebuilding it :( (steering was off and ended up going straight into the corner of a stone wall)

Crashed my Hyper more times than I can remember heh, the last one I had it went full force in to a kerb after I lost radio control, and it hit the kerb so bad that the left wheel and suspension was ripped right off and the dogbone scraped the side of the kerb and left an 8 inch mark on it.
I have since isolated the problem, which caused three serious crashes as a loose wire connecting the batteries to the radio, and since I sorted that out she's going like a rocket :)

I was driving my car in my local church car park when around 10 7/8 year olds started chasing the car and trying to jump on it. I brought it back to where i was and faced it towards the other end of the car park as I waited for them to clear off, the car went full throttle towards a kerb wrecked the right front swing arm. I presumed something had gone wrong with the reciver but I was talking to my dad he was telling me that they have to use duracell batterys in his work because they are slightley longer than other batterys and the battery packs have been designed for duracell batterys.

Get a failsafe and you won't have to worry either way.

You could always try stretching the springs in the battery holder to make the batteries a tighter fit, or, failing that, buy and fit a hump pack!!!!

or wrap an elastic band around them. I have my battery packs wrapped in balloons, that keeps them dry and keeps them in place.

never thought about that... Did you blow them up and let the air out first so they are a bit more stretched?

    Stretched them like mad !
