My father is looking for a small automatic car for city driving.

I don't really know anything about cars so any advice would be really appreciated.:)

Automatic Yaris is a good bet... Toyota is quality.

Smart would be smart except people point and laugh.

Life, Mike, is too short to worry about what other people wish to point and laugh at. That's why i play a Steinberger bass. It sounds like someone bashing a piano with a hammer, but looks odd.
    Who's laughing? Me!

Buy the Smart, park sideways, have a ball!

for city driving explore the new energy efficient hybrids.
also if he is tall watch the head room in small cars as if u have to drop the seat too far, they can be hard enough to get out of for older people

oh he's not decrepit yet. But they live in the middle of Dublin and want to get one small car for dinking around town and also a bigger one for the longer sojourns.

I think he's looking at getting a new saab for his larger car or maybe a merc
