Best chickflicks?

need to rent a decent chickflick dvd for the girlfriend, whats out and bearable at the moment? feck all on in the cinema!

Well for girls it has to be dirty dancing. I can't understand why they love that film so much since it's so utterly ****e. However as a chick flick it can't really be faulted. It does the job, the chicks love it despite patrick swayze playing a paedophile in it well before he did the ame in that cult classic.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed Just Friends. It has the silly soppy chick flick storyline but it's also genuinely funny unlike most other chick flicks and ryan reynolds character is very believable and well played.

God, I hate chick flicks. Mean Girls is great. And Muriel's Wedding is outstanding, but I'm hesitant to call them chick flicks as it's too insulting. Rent them though. They're great. Only thing that's more annoying than chick flicks? Girls who love chick flicks.

Nah seriously, I don't think the ones I like are chick flicks. They are just flicks about chicks and are a good alternative to the likes of your Aniston/Bullock/Roberts soppy fare.

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion is another top notch flick about girls.

The Notebook is a clear winner. Plus, it has James Garner in it, so it's okay for guys to watch it.

And balls to whoever gave out about Mean Girls. That movie is one of the most fantastic, intelligent comedies I've seen and I'm only sorry that I was such a snob about it that I didn't check it out earlier.
