MA & body piercings

Just curious what the deal is with body piercings and MA?
I will hopefully be doing some form of MA in the next month. Common sense tells me that i should remove em when sparring.
Would i be able to leave em in during training or will it depend on who is running the place?
Anyone here have a similar problem?

Take 'em all out rather than have them ripped out, rubbed out, or impacted deeper into places where they're not supposed to go!

I had a couple ripped out of my ears many moons ago, and it's a pain in the arse. If your using surgical steel piercings then they will do you a fair bit of damage if they get pulled out.

I leave my earings and tongue stud in (too much hassle getting the fookers out) - not that I'm doing MMA to be fair. But my septum is always taken out - no matter what - I really don't want to look like that dumb chick from Eastenders:D

If you are doing all that grappling lark take everything out. The tongue might be cool if you have a gum shield.

Somtimes I peel my tattoos off before training. ;)

Common sense once again triumphs! Depends on the sparring I suppose but its a bad idea generally to have anything that can catch, snag, rip etc..

I have my tongue pierced & never had any problems leaving that in but it's not very like'll to get caught when I'm rolling compared to a nipple or eyebrow piercing.

I'd say you should remove any body piercings because they will be ripped out......

No one is gonna get your tongue in a grapple though :D unless its a girl maybe, yeah might just plasters of the more sensitive ones so they cant be caught so easily. Ears will be taken out.
Anywho thanks for the replies, much appreciated :)
