Been camping for several years home and abroad, kids / family etc., but I'd like to give wild camping a bash, as in, off campsite stuff like the wilds of Wickla. Up you hills off the beaten track. I suppose rucksack, one/two man tent type a stuff.
Anyone do it or recommend good spots (that'll destroy them then I suppose!)

Djouse(or Jouse, not too sure of the spelling but thats how it sounds) Woods beside Powerscourt was the last place I was camping. Really nice spot, and you can access powerscourt in a short walk, also theres some nice trails around the woods themselves.

The entire Comeragh range is devoid of (other) human life most of the time I'm there, pick your spot, either up on the plateau or near one of the lakes. You'll have plenty of water no matter where you go. Loads of ridge/cliff walks and some of the most spectacular views in this lovely land of ours.
