Need to buy a Dell Laptop Drive

    Are they sold anywhere in Dublin?

    Mine seems to be dying a death so need to pick one up somewhere fast.

    Inspiron 4150.

    Any 2.5 inch Ide laptop drive will do, just take out the old one and remove the enclosure, then put the enclosure back on the new one and insert it.

    The problem lies with Oem windows, if you have a install cd your ok, if not you need to ghost a image of the old drive which is hard with laptop drives.

    Marx computers supply 2.5 drives at a reasonable cost

    The ghost image isin't required once you have the dell disk

    If you want a drive installed with windows installed etc PM for a quote

    I can see some 2.5" ide drivers in IT direct.

    Some have a 8mb cache and some have a 2mb cache. Would both of them work the same?

    Will an Inspiron 4150 work with an 8mb cache or am i better going for the 2mb cache as its probably what is in the machine at the moment.

    Both will work. 8Mb will give u better preformance.
