does anyone know of a local company that will install a hard water treatment "machine" in a house? We want to soften our water but don't know where to start looking.

    Any ideas?

I never even thought of the yellow pages.....found a few companies.

Just to let you know that you can't use softened water for baby's bottles so it might be a good idea to leave a tap (inside or out) which isn't attached to the system.
There's a place on William Street that does water softening.
