    right folks

our sat dish broke ( literally rusted and fell off the wall bracket) and sky organised to have an engineer out yesterday to replace it. Surprise surprise they never showed and when we contacted sky they informed us that in fact he was never meant to come 9 even though we have it in writing)

anyway we cancelled the account be have to give 30days notice in writing. does anyone know what address that i should send this letter to?

    many thanks

I don't think the "in writing" part is strictly necessary.
I know when i cancelled, it was all done over the phone, though i did have to give 30 days notice. The customer service people will advise you better.

Incidentally, does anyone know if there is an option to choose that sky cannot send you promo rubbish and the like in the post every couple of months?
It just keeps coming and coming....

I think if you ring them and request not to be sent the junk mails in future, they're obliged to do so.

I think this is your perfect opportunity to get some free stuff from sky. You have to make a huge complaint and make yourself look totally victimised. It also helps if you act as if you can only barely afford the sky package. Worked for my cousin who had a little complaint. Went to cancel in sky shop and was given sky free for 3 months, free dish, and the package at half price after the 3 months.

they are insisting on getting it in writing.

they agreed to send out engineer to replace dish and box at no cost but was meant tto come on tuesday. when we did not hear from engineer we rang sky and they told us that in fact no one would call until sat at the earliest ( we now are without sky for almost 2 weeks now) and are just completely p***ed off with them as this is not the first time we have had problems with them.

as regards getting a deal from them, well they can shove it where sun does not shine ( forgive language but am really that annoyed with them)

any way if anyone knows the address i would be very much grateful for it

Address is - SSSL, PO Box 1903, Livingston, West Lothian EH54 7WF. Scotland

Although contacting your bank and cancelling the direct debit will work just as well.
In fact do both if you want to be really sure!
