Wonder why going to SD memory? Anyway initial prices seem quite high and it might end up going against the 30D and the D200 instead of the 350D as the D70 was. Good for the market though, keeps the other manufacturers on their toes.....

I'm aiming for a D70. May order online, may get it in NYC, can't decide.

    EDIT:

Actually, that looks yummy, I want one...but it won't be properly available for quite a while.

Don't forget, those prices aren't actual retail prices. Generally retail would be cheaper (sometimes significantly) - a notable exception being the 18-200VR due to its lack of availability and huge demand.

The camera looks pretty decent alright. The SD is not that big a deal to me - they're cheaper, often, pretty fast and they're large too (the D80 supporting SDHC).

The main competetor will probably be the A100. Roll on Photokina, more announcement please. More fun stuff to lust after. :)
