I have iPhoto 2 on my mac and have purchased a Canon 350D but I need iPhoto 5 to recognise this camera.

The most recent version of iPhoto is ver 6.

Would I be able to get iPhoto 5 to install somewhere or would I need to purchase ? All I can seem to get is ver 6 on the web page.

    Thanks

You'd need to purchase, however 6 is an improvement over 5.

You might find iLife 05 somewhere on eBay for a reasonable price. iPhoto is not downloadable AFAIK.

I remember seeing iLife 5 on sale at a heavily discounted price in the Spectra shop near the Molly Malone statue at the bottom of Grafton Street. €20, if memory serves me correctly. Not sure if they would still have it.

If you get a USB card reader you can just plug the CF card in and iPhoto will find the pics. They're fairly cheap at this stage. What Mac do you have ?
