    where did you hear that? doesn't matter i highly doubt its right.
    less people in vegas in spring and less people able to take breaks from work and whatnot than there would be in summer - not good for harrahs who want to milk as much entry fees as possible. i don't see any point in them having it in spring. i hope its not til JUNE/JUlY/AUGUST again - gives me more time to put a serious bankroll together so i can play in multiple events :p

    think this is a joke, there given out about the WSOP been moved back a couple of weeks each year currently, but the June/July/Aug is the best time of year for Vegas as the hotels have more rooms available. September is the start of there convention season etc.

    But than again, the TV stations rule overthere.

    Traditionally it was always held in May. But then it wasn't the major event that it is now. As Ollie says the reason they moved it is because the summer is actually the low season in vegas. So it makes sense to hold the event when normally the hotels would be half empty. 9000 plus poker players and their entourage.
