Ive been looking on komplett at digital terrestrial TV receivers and am intrigued but this digital goodness.

I have an analogue TV card now and its worse than deplorable.

Here is the link of the cards: http://www.komplett.ie/k/kl.asp?bn=10419

Do I need an external antenna? It seems that these come with their own, it's just that my sister has terrestrial digital on her television and needs an external dish.

    Are there many decent stations?

    I use XP SP2.

    Thanks all!

Not sure exactly what your sister has but if it was digital and used a dish (satellite?) it might be whats called DVB-S which is satellite variety. Who is the service provider or is it something they put up themselves ?

There are no DVB-T (terrestrial/over the air) broadcasters in Ireland. With the exception of the UK's Freeview DVB-T service in the North but the signal is too weak to be received outside the region or unless your very near the border.

But with the above in mind you wont get anything with a DVB-T card they are useless till our own system is up & running and it looks like it could be quite a while before that happens.

What kind of analogue tuner have you got is it one of the Hauppauge line, try this ATI card it offers better picture quality compared to some of the other products.
