NTL Digital Select (Basic) Option

    Hi

Can anyone tell me the difference between the channels offered for the NTL Digital €5/month option (Select pack) and the €10 option (Max pack). National Geographic for one seems to be not included in the cheaper option. I see elsewhere in this forum that FilmFour is included free with the Max but not the Select. Anything else?

    Thanks,
    D8Player

I'd also be interested, if it's only these two channels is it worth twice the price?

Also all the +1 channels are not included as well as a few of the music channels and I know for certain that Nick Jnr is not either as I downgraded and had to go back up when we found that that one was missing.

    I moved up to the €10 package yesterday from the Basic Digital. The extra channels that I notice, I may be missing a few or adding one that I had with the basic but from memory;
    More 4+1
    UKTV Gold
    UKTV Gold +1
    UKTV G2
    Hallmark
    Living TV+1
    UKTV Drama
    CNN
    Disc Channel+1
    Animal Planet
    National Geographic
    Film Four
    Film Four +1
    TCM Movies
    Attheraces
    UKTV Bright Ideas
    Disc H+H
    Disc Real Time
    Bravo
    Bravo +1
    Men and Motors
    Boomerang
    Jetix
    Toonami
    Nick Jnr
    MTV2
    MTV Hots
    MTV Base
    MTV Dance
    VH1
    VH1 Classic
    VH2
    The Box
    Q
    The Hits
can't remember whether Kerrang was on the Basic line-up.

Bit sad I know listing all these off, but as has been said here the ntl site is a disaster when it comes to listing what extra channels you get if you upgrade from the intro digital pack.

A full breakdown of the differences between the digital packages in Dublin, Waterford and Galway, both cable and MMDS can be seen at the url below:

It seems to be pretty up to date, except for the lack of Film Four.

Isn't Living TV on analogue now?

    Hey,

I got the basic option yesterday and overall am very happy with it. The picture quality is very good and the new channels are good value for an extra €5. I would really like National Geographic, FilmFour and Animal Planet which are part of the €10 Max package but would not be prepared to pay extra for them so I'm happy enough to do without them.
