Now that apple are using intel chips, and they have the ability to run Windows OS, ( although a quick google showed me there are still some problems with that ...) can they also be used to play Windows games?

Im thinking of getting a new laptop and i would like to buy a Mac. The only thing thats holding me back is the fact that after splashing out on a powerful Mac, i wont be able to play any of the new PC games i would be able to if i got a PC instead? comments appreciated...

Yes, if you install Windows XP, you can run games from it (but you can't run Windows games in OSX)
That said, you'd wanna avoid the Macbook (Intel GMA950 for graphics...)

K.O.K. is right. To play anything anyway demanding you would really need a Mac Book Pro.
