That green car reminds me of a neighbours 2.0S he bought brand new in around '78. It was sweet looking car, all the black trim really changed it from the cooking models !

Also FF's GV Wright always drove Cortinas, red 2.0S, swapped every 2 years with Richie Heeley. He bought one of the very last Mk5 Cortinas registered in 1983 it was a red 2.0GLS with a black roof. I never saw another one of those !

Was a bit disappointed with the link to the Cortina site :(

I love the green one in the middle though, fair play ! Pure class :D

Do any of these have the "island" gearstick? Remember those?

dissappointed with buysellcortina??????? wow! maybe you missed the Cortina garage?

the Mk4 "S" models are now exceptionally rare....Mine is South African (3.0S) but the 2.3S and 2.0 S are each down to single figures in the UK. There are none in the Republic as far as I know but there are 2 2.0S's in Belfast.

The Mk5 variants (which were an option pack rather than a seperate model )are a little more numerous but still very collectable...

The green one with the twin round headlights is just stunning. But the alloys let it down big-time. It needs alloys that are a lot more retro. Polished alleycats or even superlites would look so much better....IMO!!!;)

Anyone remember an ad on TV from a few years back, it had a yellow cortina with afro style hair on the roof. I think it was for an ice-pop or something.

the dark green one is a mk3GT .....specced up big time.....i like the wheels, wont be chnging them

the car with the afro wig was a 2000E mk3 in blue with a GXL grille similar to my mk3. It now lives in ireland had the correct grille, no wig and is re-reg'd. Bit of a pity to lose the uniquenesss of a celbrity..(it was a Nescafe ad btw)

for the record..left to right.... 2800Gt. 3.0S and taunus 1600GXL. The last two are more or less as Ford built them.
