Its been a bad month. The usual STT level that I occupy ($10-$15) has been seemingly overtaken by luckboxes and maniacs. Welcome to Outdraw City, population: me.
Anyway not to mope too much but how do you overcome it. Is it a swings and roundabouts thing? Do I take more risks? Or do I simply ride it out knowing that when the chips go in I am ahead?
Fortunatly my bankroll took a boost during the Galway races, playing on PPP, and a $10 trixie on Thursday kinda took the edge off what was a losing month.
But therein lies the problem, looking at the cashier I appear quids in. I know that its not from poker but that fact of the money there makes me feel better is is stopping me from analysing what the problem is..
Is it me or them? ;)
Is it an incredibly bad idea to keep the 2 worlds together (gamblin & poker)

That was one of the reasons I gave up using PaddyPowerPoker - annoyed me the way when I rang up for a horse racing bet that the money came out of the poker account.

Re the bad run, its variance and if you are consistently getting the chips in ahead then you will go on a good run soon.

good run soon? well...if you keep on getting the chips in ahead, you'll be guaranteed to win a pot sometime in the next year or so...if you're lucky...

and anyway...you make more money from behind...

I like to think of variance as the reason why bad players think they can win consistently. Without variance they wouldnt be coming back. I keep gambling and poker miles apart
