You should have little problems booking flights as long as you have you both have your own passports. The legal age for drinking and smoking is 18 afaik, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Are you booking your flights and stuff through a travel agent?

Don't worry about the legal age, they couldn't give a ****e over there

Bounced over to Travel/Holidays, where you might get more information

Most tour operators are only interested in ages if you are under 16 or over 65, so you'll be fine.

As for bars/pubs/clubs... Don't worry, if you even look vaguely old enough you'll be fine. If in doubt, make sure a rep for a bar brings you in. They'll normally bring you to the counter and order on your behalf so that you get your free shots and they get their commission. That will take the focus off you.

Not that I condone underage drinking of course, but if you're going to do it, you might as well do it right!

Strangely, supermarkets tend to be stricter on age restrictions, so make sure your gf gets the booze in if you're shopping.

When my mates were booking a post leaving cert holiday to Crete, the travel agent didn't care as long as one of them was 18, so I doubt you'll have problems there. I always thought the legal age was 16 or something over there. I doubt that will be much of an issue anyhow. Plus, any sh!te fake ID will do over there. Go to work on a USIT with an art knife.

I've been to Lanzarote a couple of times in the last 18 months. I would say allow yourself apout 2/3 to 3/4 of what you would need in Ireland and you should have plenty but it's a long time since I was on a teenage holliday so you probably can get away with even less.

That should cover it alright! Unless you're planning on doing some very heavy drinking every night! (and even then it should be ok!) Although, saying that I do know people who went to similar places and spent far more, but that was by choice and great holiday should be had with that kind of spending money.
