    Vancouver all the way.
I'm hearing great things about this city. Apparently the climate is most European like so I hope not to freeze to death considering I'm flying over just before New Year's.
West Coast is supposedly great for skiing and good focal point for travelling.
Good luck with the choice... Flights have to be booked by Sept 15th!!

I'm looking into getting the Canada visa for next year, roughly how much does it cost in total (with flights & all)? Been to Canada on holiday and just loved it! :)

    Hi,

Am in Vancouver since May. The summer weather was fantastic on average 25 degrees. Now it just rains all the time and is a bit cold. The rain is heavier than Ireland. The social life is not like Ireland. If you go out you are pestered by waitresses all the time. But it is very relaxed you don't have to dress up or anything. The people are very nice, friendly and healthy. They don't suffer from over eating like their neighbours. The city itself is great and green. The downside is that they are building alot for the 2010 olympics.
Vancouver island is close by (where we saw a wild bear!!) and Whistler (for snowboarders..) Its good for any hikers as you are very close to mountains.
Usit Visa application cost is e379 and insurance e127, flights as far as i remember were around e600

    J :D

i was there for 8 months i'd advise you to fl;y in to vancouver...go to vancouver island, tofino is cool. when more snow falls go to either whisler in bc or banff in ab lots of work there, cheap drinks, billions of young people try caribou properties for work cos you get cheap staff accom and a corporate ski pass for your days off etc www.skibanff.com it rocks!!

Thanks a mil for that advice! I've had a look at the website and checked out Caribou Properties too... I think it's helped me decide exactly what I want to do. Banff looks brilliant!!

If you or anyone else have any other tips for working over there that'd be great.

    Cant wait now :D
