I've been away for 3 weeks on Valentia so have lost touch.

My dad died yesterday (he's on my flickr) so I'm kinda sad but also content. He was 86 and was happy to go, thoguh we were not expecting it to happen so quickly.. I'm only saying this bcause I have friends here and I am jarred too. Strange feeling. Up and down. I love(d) him and he loved his family.

Sorry for being maudling but I felt that this is a plaece I wanted to tell ye. Photohraphers are one of the few species that have soul.........I hope

Sorry to hear of your trouble
Its always sad, the passing on of a loved one, the sense of loss we experience, but on another level, it’s a consolation of sorts to realise that it’s also a celebration of a long life too.

Condolences, I hope the memories and, as you put it youself, photographs of your father serve to bring permanance to a man who lived so long with a loving family.

We said goodbye to dad today and it was a strange feeling. The day and the Mass was a celebration of his life more than a melancohly experience. We had very good friends singing and playing music and the sermon was amazing. I'm not religious but dad was and the parish priest said that he was the most saintly man he had ever met. That was dad.

He lived for his family, for God and for his flowers.

I will return to normal service soon with about 10 pictures out of 3000 from the holidays.

Thanks again for your support. The internet is crazy sometimes. But I feel that, with some of ye at least, I know ye.
