    Hello all,

Bit of advice required... or maybe guidance would be a more accurate word...

I'm looking into the possibility of working abroad for a while and was considering Germany or Poland, more probably the former, as a place of future employment, for 1 year at least i suppose.

Think is i have no idea where to start my search. I can speak German so thats not bad i suppose but i need to know are there any websites out there which offer guidance on this sort of thing? Can give lists of jobs available in a particular country? Or maybe take CV's on board and make some recommendations based on that?

I'm not a teacher or anything so maybe thats against me! I have a degree in finance and have 3 years work experience in Dublin under my belt.

Well, come on guys.... help me out if ye can, cheers!

    Drugness

I would advise you to have a look online perhaps at Monster for a start, upload your resume there. I'm in the US and get quite a few calls asking for my services. There are plenty more websites out there, give Career Builder a go also. Best of luck with the job search for the future.

Going by your name I would suggest getting a job in Holland where in some jobs you can smoke joints at your desk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

    Really?

As far as locating jobs goes, what sort of jobs are you going for? I.e is it a job in a shop / pub etc.

Or a job in a corporation

Did you goto college, if so have you graduated and was it recently ?

    Thanks for the replies lads

I wouldnt be looking for a job in a shop or anything like that. With a finance degree i would be hoping for something more geared towards banking or finance. Accountancy is out of the question though. Every site i have seen regarding foreign jobs so far seems to be geared more towards teaching, and i'm definitely not the man for that sort of job.

Interested to hear your views and recommendations though

    Cheers

    Defo check the bigger cities
Frankfurt is the financial capital but Duesseldorf has a lot of banks too. Berlin is always worth a trip and probably the nicest city. www.faz.net is the portal of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Dunno the page but they have a big job section on Saturdays. Mayube its even worth going to Easons to get the paper.

Another is www.wiwo.de which is the Wirtschaftswoche. Business news that should have jobs in there too.
www.arbeitsagentur.de is the governmental site. I would believe since there is high unemployment that they wont have much though.

    Guess that is it.

    Good luck hunting.
