    Hello,
I was wondering if anyine could tell me how i could play games like counter strike across a small wireless home network. Surely I dont have to buy the game for every single computer do I? I got a bf2 demo working across the network but that was easy with no cd or serial codes and such. I know i could share the D:/ drive across the network but would that do it and would that not hugelt strain the computer the cd is in as it has to do the work of the others?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Cheers

for counter-strike you'll need a copy for each pc, otherwise steam will give you a "cd-key is in use in another location" error

You do have to have a seperate steam account with cs for each player.

I'm pretty sure you could use cs 1.6 (pre steam) without difficulty on a lan with only one HL CD

    1.6 runs on steam.
