Hello all, I wonder if any of you guys are meeting with others at times to actually get hands dirty fixing your cars. I used to do this in my home country (France) with my buddies and I thoroughly miss that. It was great to be among a few cars and poke at eachothers carbs and fix bits and bobs here and there while having a beer. I am quite keen on helping others with I can do in return for the same. Anybody?

Well tbh I spend all week fixing cars so the weekends I try to take off. In my experience getting a few buddies around to mess with their cars and drink beer usually ends up with me putting back together said cars with me being commended by drunk friends.:)

We do something similar with the MX5s, Eric. Usually nothing more than a collective changing of engine-oil, but sometimes replacing soft-top roofs, brake-pads & fluid etc. Always good craic.

Location is important - one of the lads runs a signage business so has some room at his carpark/business-park-office for us.

Some of the lads, me included, bring other motors along so it's not just MX5s. If you're interested, can let you know when the next one is coming up - haven't had one for a while, everyone's more interested in driving :D

D'ya think they'd go mad if we both left the '5s at home and took the Mercs instead? heheh

Frank, there are probably more bits that can go wrong on a 1975 Jag than on a MX5 :) But would be fun to join in ayway... how do you say... ?? "craic" :)
