I have a pair of Sony ex51's and basically the rubber cable on them has ripped in quite a few places due to wear and tear leaving the wire exposed. I'v put small bits of tape around the tears but it keeps pealing off.

Does anyone know of anything else I could use?

The exact same thing happened mine too, the rubber just basically started to disintegrate. There's almost none left at this stage, never bothered trying to tape it or anything. Would have brought them back only I lost the feckin receipt
