Ok so going into year 'SF' as it's seemingly called, wondering what kind of jobs would be available part-time,
Could probably work from 5ish onwards most weekdays, have good experience working in shops, would be happy for even 2 days a week, to earn money any ideas? preferrably not something where I would have to sell to people directly on the streets, have people skills but would be intimidated in certain social situations.
Could also work weekends but would prefer some free to head back home,
    thanks for advice.

Wouldn't do that unless it's absolutely necessary... or you do arts. A few extra quid is worth fuck all when you end up inside sweating over books during the summer!

yeah those were my thoughts last year, and am doing engineering, but got through it with a 2.1 with only study over two week's before exams, think i would be ok once i go to most lectures, then again maybee it would be too much as im working 6 days all summer and just want to work to feed mt investment habit...

Maybe for the first term or at the weekends. I don't know about engineering but from my experience (AM) there was a pretty sizeable jump between 1st and 2nd years

HDX im in the same situation as you and the same course it seems but im told that the hours go up for us again this year and added to that we dont have the horribly remedial 1E8 that could be ignored for the whole year and still easily passed

personally im working like a (insert random ethnic race) for the summer and gonna live off those funds or atleast die trying

Second year engineering has more hours then first year. Also the course content increases in difficulty greatly. The two "three in one" courses were exceptionally hard when i did them, with a large number of people getting poor grades. You also have schols to think about. There are no easy courses in second year especially wrt some of the more muck lecturers. Wait untill you have bill coffy and Quinn and Alan O cornor and B O kelly
