I'm looking to build a dog run and was wondering if anyone on here had built one, if so I would like to see some photographs and also designs if possible.

Also what materials did you use timber, steel, etc etc.

    Thanks for yer help.

    Hi Cork Rebel,

Don't know how big you want to make your dog run, but always build the run as big as possible. For what size of dog is it?

We have two Irish Wolfhounds and a terrier crossbreed and we fenced 0.25 acres of our garden (Ok we have a lot of land, so we can do this).
We kept it very simple and used wooden fence posts and 2" galvanized mesh sheets 1.20 x 2.4 We build a lean to doghouse against one of our sheds and put some matrasses in it.
Very easy to do, very simple and very effective. Because the sheets wobble a bit, the dogs don't like it standing up against it and thus don't try to jump over it. Something solid of 1.2 woudn't be a problem for the dogs to jump over. That's why we choose mesh.

Surely you will get more ideas from other people.

    Good luck with building.
