Blatant rip off of the thread by Plug but here you go:

Please note, this is ancient, I first saw it in the mid to late 1980's and it has probably existed since the 60's. I attach no significance to this whatsoever, just making a point that if you look hard enough you can find coincidence everywhere!!!11 ;)

    JFK vs Lincoln

Abe Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
JFK was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abe was elected President in 1860.
JFK was elected President in 1960.

The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both their wives lost children while living in the House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both were shot in the head.
    Both were shot from behind.
Both were in the presence of their wives.
The secretary of each President warned them not to go to the theatre and Dallas, respectively.

    Lincoln's Secretary was named Kennedy.
    Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.

    Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southern Democrats
    Both successors were named Johnson.
The names "Andrew Johnson" and Lyndon Johnson each contain 13 letters.
Both successors had held seats in the US Senate.
Both Johnsons were opposed for re-election by men whose names start with "G".

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
    Both names have 15 letters.
Both Booth and Oswald were southerners favoring unpopular ideas.

Booth ran from the theatre and was captured in a warehouse.
Oswald ran from the warehouse and was captured in a theatre.

To cap it all off, Booth and Oswald were assassinated before trial.

    Mystery or statistical coincidence?

    Cheers Ruu :D

I did make the point that I attach no significance to this at all, I was really making the point that it's easy to find coincidences if you're that way inclined! :D

I guess that the next time a US president is assassinated the FBI, CIA, NSA and Homeland Security will all be looking for guys who are known by all three names, based on precedent of course ;):D

And, the most recent fact noted ...
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was in Marilyn Monroe.
