    Hi,

Thinking of buying a USB (Skype approved) phone to test VOIP on my wireless connection. The likes of the Cyberphone-W. Would this typically work with Blueface also?

(I understand difference between Blueface (SIP) and Skype - just wondering if USB phones for connecting to either were different.)

    Thanks,
    Leex

Skype uses it's own proprietary (non-SIP) protocol so the hardware is probably quite specific to being Skype-compatible. You could use the freely available X-Ten software phone (that runs on your PC) to get an idea of what it will be like. But, ultimately, you'll be needing some kind of analog telephone adapter (ATA) that you plug regular POTS phones into.
