American Airlines Realigns Service To Ireland - Taken from AA.com

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines, a founding member of the global oneworld® Alliance, announced today it will introduce daily widebody service to Shannon, Ireland, replacing its existing, single-class Boeing 757 service from Boston. American will fly daily to Shannon with two-class Boeing 767 service from its Chicago hub. The changes take effect Oct. 28, and will be operated in conjunction with American’s existing Chicago-Dublin, Ireland, service.

Does anyone have any idea if there is any comeback for people who have booked on these flights ??? bit of a disaster really !

If the AA codeshare with EI is back in effect then I suspect they will be rebooked on EI, or offered ORD-BOS, or a refund.

They will proberly fly you via chicago. It is a better deal for Shannon with the stopover ending soon. A mover lile this introducting more flights is better for Shannon as a whole.

yea i was on to them today - and the girl on the phone didn't know anything bout the flights being stopped - but she did say there had been a time change - that sounds to me like we're being put on the aerlingus flight.... she also did say they'd offer a refund or a transfer from Chicago

So basically AA are only operating one aircraft ORD-DUB-SNN-ORD, a bit like Air Canada and Air Transat's summer services (YYZ-DUB-SNN-YYZ). Hopefully the summer sched will see BOS-SNN and ORD-DUB nonstop reinstated.
