The lights were flickering about 40 mins ago..
    All servers went down.

Seems to be the whole south city that got a brief outage/surge.
Radio went out for about 30 seconds.

Fire up on 3 Rock mountain. Might be responsible?

  • I blame RTÉ...

They were doing something to the mast on three rock this morning, probably fixed the mast, but broke the power supply...

    typical

Had some flickering here in DunLaoghaire too. One bad drop about 30mns ago. Strange thing was that one PC re-booted while the other one kept on working.

Does anyone know if this is effecting or could effect phone lines? I'm having trouble getting through to phone numbers is Meath.

They are both on the same surge protector.

Surge protectors only protect from power spikes, not drops.

It's probably just lunch time for the women in the Meath exchange, they are a bit behind the times out there you know. :D

Has is it been confirmed what caused the power outage? Intel was badly affected.

Just two instances of flickering lights out here in Blackrock, coinciding with this surge...

We have loads of PC's here in work, the lights flickered twice and my PC rebooted, I went around the whole office and not one other PC had failed, just mine. Humbug ...

That's weird. I was up there about 2 hours ago and seen a fire so I decided to take a picture. Didn't know it was affecting the electricity though.

Looking at it through binoculars from work here. I can see a about 5-6 blackened ESB pylons.

    "Huge Fire"

You should be in sydney once every four years or so :)

Well for Ireland it was quite big, but in terms of large fires in general it would rate fairly small, hence the irony of capitalising HUGE!
