    Hi,

Colleague is having hassle with "Avid" Software. Had saved several files onto local hard drive, they played ok. These were then copied onto an external hard drive and now we get the error "media offline".

When doing a google i saw a referenence to delete two database files, did this but still had the same problem.

On some of the sequences for the first while we get "media offline" and then we see the last few seconds of the film.

    Cheers

Avid have there own forums you might better receive the answer to your problem there.

By the sounds of it alright it looks like a database issue (or the way the program treats external hard drives).
