Just wondering has anyone had experience of buying components from German/Dutch sites. I have a few sites that have better prices than Komplett.ie or overclocker.co.uk. I notice that they charge VAT at a rate of 16%. I f i bought a few items from these sites, would customs slap on the full 21% when they enter this country?
Some stuff like radeon x1900 xt and Asus P5WD2-E Premium are much cheaper than buying from Komlpett or overclockers.co.uk (there is a saving ovover 70-80 euro alone to be made on the X1900 XT..)
Other stuff like hard drives and burners are pretty much the same, so might as well get them off komplett.

No experience with Dutch/German suppliers. Bought all my parts from Komplett & OCUK.
Most of these suppliers charge the same price for delivery if you get 1 or 10 items off them. Buy as many items as you can off them to save money. OCUK charge UK£22 for del. It doesn't pay 2 buy single items just cos its cheaper than elsewhere.

You might find it hard to get a supplier to send items to Ireland.

http://tweakers.net/pricewatch might be of use to you, i dont know if you know dutch or not? Any translations give me a shout or Babbelfish :D

http://azerty.nl/ is pretty decent to i think, recomended by a mate

EDIT: i have a laptop sent over from 4launch last year, not sure what tax i paid on it but customs here never asked for anything
