Anyone else think Paul Anderson is ruining all the game to film transitions?

He's ripped the Resi films t bits, and now hes makin the 3rd one, a Land of the Dead rip-off with someone playin Claire redfield that looks like Sarah Connor

And everyone knows hes not a loyal fan. He said he always loved resi, then said in another interview he played the games for the first time for a year before startin Resi 1 as research

Yeah he's a terrible director alright! I think those films have a lot of potential, i mean theres a lready a good story there from the games to build on! tbh honest i thought mortal combat was a bit of a laugh, and the res films had some good bits. But the prob with the res films was that they had nothing like the feel of the game. The atmosphere didn't match up and i really think there should have been some sort of problem solving bits. Like trying to figure out how to open some doors, anyone who's played the game should know what i mean. How somebody could mess up Alien vs Predator that bad is beyond me...... and now he's making a sequel!! I agree, i don't mind if he keeps directing but would he please leave the game to film transitions alone, leave them for a real fan with some directorial expertise.

RE2 wasn't so bad, but Paul A just produced/wrote it, rather then directed. instead he took up AVP :(

but he can be forgiven because he gave us the fantastic event horizon :D

True. He isn't the one ruining the game-movie transitions. It's Uwe Boll

And he just got Castlevania to ruin!

The premise of Resi Extinction is such a rip of Land of the Dead. Gna be SHOI

Well if its a ripoff of Land Of The Dead I won't be watching it as that film was pure crap.

I actually liked AvP, I mean what were people expecting from this. Now if he had of done Freddy v Jason I would be adding him to my hate list.

ah i know the resi films were rubbish but i stil enjoyed them. just wish theyhadve gone with a more direct story that followed the games. bit of leon and claire would have been cool

Exactly. People dont understand that Resi fans love the games for the storyline

How do ye think all the Harry Potter fans woulda went if the films were based around some randomer called John, and Harry didnt appear until the sequel as a sub-character

    C'mon lyk

i agree with alot of whats been said. i loved the resident evil games cause of the atmosphere they developed. all that went out the window in exchange for *KEWL* fight scenes and souless action.
its by no means perfect but if you want to see what resident evil couldve been check out "silent hill" , far more creepy and in my opinion the best game to movie film yet, at least in intent i.e its actually a survival horror film and not a "im a tough chick and im gonna kick everyones arse". i'll be honest i think the movie got such a bad review because the critics went in expecting a resident evil film and were compleatly lost.

It got bad reviews because it was crap. However it certainly is the best game to movie translation which isn't saying much.

I liked Mortal Kombat for what it was, a very dumb action film.
