Disconnected Sky box, no RTE, ITV, etc

Last Saturday went out to some aquaintances to see if I could bring some life back to their Sky box. That was the easy part. The connection at the LNB had not been waterproofed and as they live in a cliff-side (very nice!) location it been completely corroded, all green at IF connector with end of cable broken off inside LNB. Fixed. They said they had been 2 months without.

Now the problem. This box is subscribed. Basic package. There's shag all on it. BBC1/2 yes. No Irish Channels, no ITV channels. I did forced update. All went well but no change. Then rang Sky. They confirmed subscription was paid up to date and situation would be correcteed in 2minutes to 4 hours. I checked back this evening and the situation was still the same. No RTE,etc.

Can somebody shed some light on this?

It will take up to a day for the card to get new keys. Just leave it on Sky News with card in it and it will update.

I don't think it matters what channel the Sky box is left on
