How cheap could a model car be built for im not talking about new stuff here if i was able to buy a bust one somewhere and do it up or buy ther parts all over the place on the cheap.

I have a good knowelage of engines and cars and that sort of stuff but limited of rc stuff

what do you acctually need and does someone have a high res photo

im interested in building a monster truck but would love to do a boat either. Im guessing the boat would be cheaper and electric would be easier and cheaper as well

can someone explain this if you have the time or point me to a website

    Ok
Just be a small bit more specific please in your direction
    Is it going to be
    A) Touring car ?
    B) Monster Truck?
    C) Buggy ?

    Now.
    Is it going to be
    A) Electric ?
    Or
    B) Nitro ?

Electric would deffo be easier. ;)

you could pick up a decent used rolling chassis for less that 50 quid on fleabay.
have a look at http://www.easyrc.com/ to see what is needed to get you up and running.

Walk into many model shops and there will be a bulletin board of used models for sale.
Normally these would be already running, with no need to rebuild.
Often the ownership of these can be traced back, and people found nearby who have seen it go.
Also the clubs usually have a similar system for people who are "moving up".

    Good thinking.
If you can give me an idea of what you want to spend I may be able to set you up as there are members joining and leaving our club and leaving their kits lying idle.. also some others wishing to upgrade. ;)
