    Hi guys,

A group of us are going up to Galway for the weekend of race week.
Havent been out in Galway since before christmas so Im wondering can any locals recommend any good spots to go.
I realise that pretty much everywhere will have a great atmoshpere but were not really into the whole dance music scene (GPO, tir na Nog, Liquid) so some live music or good indie DJs would be more what were looking for. However we would be up for pretty much anything!

    All suggestions are welcome:)

Well, every single pub in town will be packed but you could try Blue Note or Roisin Dubh. Usually good not-so-mainstream music.

    Thanks for the reply,
Have never tried Blue Note so thats much appreciated. Like the Roisin Dubh alright - top quality venue, have seen some really good gigs there

Every pub well be mental this week but I've become fond of Sheridans on the Docks (Padraics place) really nice now and should be able to get a seat too :)

We've now established that every pub will be mental.

Not that it needed to be established.

Please refer to the stickies for info on pubs.
