    Hi all,

Myself and girlfriend have booked a week off 19th Aug onwards to go on holidays, we have a budget of about 400 euros, any ideas where would be a nice warm quiet location? and also, Ive been looking on 3 websites for holidays... www.cassidytravel.ie , budgettravel.ie, falconholidays.ie , are there any better sites with more deals etc?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You've covered all your bases there, although www.sunway.ie are worth a look too. They have a week in Tunisia departing 19/09 for €309 per person listed on their homepage. You can do other searches yourself from there...

If you're not too fussy about where you go or what type of accommodation you stay in, you could wait until within a week of departure and see what you get... There's some fantastic last minute deals to be had if you're willing to hold out.

lastminute.com can have good deals, especially for weekend city breaks.

I've never been to Tunisia myself, but friends who have been have really enjoyed it.

Checking travel shop windows isn't a bad plan either, but some travel agents can (and will) slap you with a "late booking" surcharge, so make sure if you do book that you only pay the price advertised in the window + taxes.

What kind of place are you looking for? Beach - countryside - city?
Eastern europe is cheep the flights there are kind of expensive (€120 - €160 each way) but everything else is cheep. Cheak out hostelworld.com for accomidation it's not all hostels on it just do an advanced search untick hostel and campsite and tick apartments hotels and guesthouses there's some really nice places on it all with reviews. Most apartments seem to be around the €30 - €50 mark with all mod cons.

Ok quick update, a guy in work here is Italian and he was telling me sardinia is gorgeous... I have checked out appartments and they really reasonable, the only catch is the only airport is alghero(afaik) and i cant seem to find any reasonable flights to there. Anyone know of a cheapish way to get there?

Regarding holidaysonline.ie they are owned by Sunway travel.
One very big Tour Operator that they do not search is Budget travel so if you want to be sure that you have explored all options then you will need to search Budget travel separately.
