Just seen it in the paper! Say's Sony KDFE50A 50" compact, HD ready, LCD rear projection with intergrated IDTV digital?

free sony recording DVD player GX120, or new Sony DVD that upscales to HD quality picture?

Is this a good deal it was in my paper?

    Euro 1699.99

In a word, yes, relative to its price previously, you'll find plenty of mention of this TV in the Computers/Consumer Electronics/Home Entertainment forum.

I have one and its a cracker for the money

Saw it in the Sony Centre and if I had the money I'd be buying it now. It looks class!

Hopefully come christmas when I move in to the new house that i'll be moving in with me!

Was up in Curry's in Liffey Valley yesterday. They had a 43' RVP Samsung for €999. Didnt catch the model number (wasnt on display) & more realistacly this might be on the cards for me

saw this in the sony centre the other day and while it looks great the viewing angles aren't the best, if the tv is not at the right level (in relation to your viewing position) it can look crap

That's why rear view pj tvs are cheaper. Shouldn't be a problem for most people though, and once you're sitting on the couch watching your favourite program you completely forget.
