Stupid or What..Cant Connect Lap-top..!!

    :oI've Just Got New Lap-top,And I Can't Connect It To My Router..On My Network Connections It Says."Wireless network Connection" Not Connected,Firewalled, Ralink RT2500 Wireless LAN Card
    I'm Using ZyXEL 660HW-D1 From BT. My Other Lap-Top Picked Up The Signal Straight Away,, Please Help, Thanks

    Open a command window (start->run->cmd). Type ipconfig /all. Copy the output and paste here pls.

    As above.
    Why can't you connect: does it give an error message?
    Do you see your network when you "View Available Wireless Networks"?
    Also, what make & model is the laptop?

    that's cos ur not entering "cmd" into the run box. Do that and the black box will stay open, then type ipconfig /all

    Is the wifi LED on? Did you press the wireless button? Then try to View Available Wireless Networks?

    If the LED is on, please follow irlrobins' steps.

    Sounds like it's not switched on. Is there a utility program for it? Something that allows you to control and configure wireless? You might need to switched the radio on.

    The same 'password' as on your other computer... If you don't remember it: ask someone who might, or change it on your router.
