    Hello,

Has anyone played any of these games. Ive been looking at 1 called raceclubs which is featured on raing-index but im not sure if theyre just giving a good review because they are an affiliate and would be interested to hear from anyone who has played this or any other game. I played Unreal racing before but i was suspect wheter some of the members were actually the owners and winning alot of races and also it was too complex going into mixing different feedings for the horse etc. This raceclubs says the following:

"The software and race results are audited by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, so you can rest assured race results are totally legitimate."

Fantastic...Someone asked me about them before...here's a copy and pasted reply:
    Well...

Firstly you start off as a learning jockey/trainer/owner.

You have pretty bad horses to start off with and won't be winning for a while. But, you get points for how well you ride in your races (start/mid/feel/finish) and the more points you get the more prize money you pick up and the better you get as a jock. YOu can have 5 (or 6, not sure) horses in your stable at one time and you can pick the races you want to enter. When you get better you unlock better horses and better races/tracks that you can enter e.g the guineas and derby etc.

Every December then you take part in an international jockey battle where you will ride 4 horses that are not your own, and you'll pick up points for placings. Every end of year then the classifications will come out and you will see how your horses faired against the others (ratings, prize money etc).

You can also bet before each race (american style).

The race graphics are great and pretty easy to use. The feeling of riding a perfect race and flying down the outside to win is a great one.

When your horses get old and start to deteriorate you can retire them. The superstars can be rode again in Paradise every january (a good bit into the game)....this is like horse racing in heaven.

When I got the game first I played for 12 hours straight....that's all you need to know really.

The game just goes on and on...you strive to be the top jockey every year (placings and prize money) and also own the best horses.

You can map out a route for your horse to certain championship races. You can train yourself as a jockey and also your horse. And you have your own colours - I have JP's at the moment.

    So there ya go. 10/10
    Edit/Delete Message

You can choose two of your horses and breed your own as well. Quite a thrill when you name and train your own horse and it wins a group race.
