Can anyone help me on this??

    My powerbook just crashed.
The specs are G4 1 Ghz, 1.25 Gig Ram, 60 GB HDD, the hard drive is about 75% full. I was online a few minutes ago and the thing jsut crashed, I was running Bit Torrent and also safari (safari, was connected to Boards in two seperate windows and also Yahoo groups). it was running a bit slower than usual but nothing too bad. Suddenly the screen went black and and message came up saying that I had to restart, all I could do was hold down the power key to force the machine off and then start it up again.

I'm a bit worried because that last time I saw this happen was with a unit in work, it ended up having to be sent to mactivate and cost about 600 to get repaired.

    Heres the error report

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x0022C770): hfs_vnop_bwrite: about to write corrupt node!

You've just experienced a kernel panic.

    Restart froman installation disk (CD/DVD).

    Repair Permissions

    Repair Disk if necessary.

    Apply all relevant software updates.

It looks like the system may have been trying to write to a screwed up part of the disk (i.e. a piece that contains hardware errors), but I'm in no way certain. Bit Torrent may have been responsible, the clients are pretty badly written generally.
