    You mean you just want to format it? Any windows installation will have this option.

    Format wont work if you want it to be secure. I dont know of any programs
    but im sure someone here will post something up.

    You could always format then fill the HD with useless data and then format again. :confused:

    Use this: http://dban.sourceforge.net/

    Darik's Boot 'N' Nuke. Burn it to CD or create a floppy. Secure 'proper' data erase. Just the thing for your situation, Irish Gunner.

    No disrespect, but a format with Windows doesn't cut it if you're giving a HD away, maybe for internal redeployement.

    A 4 or 8 PRNG wipe should be enough.

    Typical routine.

    *Start up PC with floppy or CD.

    *Press the ENTER key to start DBAN in interactive mode.

    *Up & Down arrow key to select partition or whole HD.

    *Space to select.

    R = Rounds, how many times the HD should be overwritten.

    V = Verify (on or off, much quicker off)

    M = Method

    (Quick Erase, RCMP TSSIT OPS-II, DoD Short, DoD 5220-22.M, Gutmann Wipe, PRNG Stream)

    F10 - Start what you've set up above..

    Try logging in using just Administrator leave the password blank and see if it works.....probably not but worth a go...otherwise.yet again grab the 'ol DBAN floppy disk or windows 2000 install cd and start from scratch ....again...

    Easy to use if you can burn to CD... Use it to blank the Administrator account or whatever accounts it finds...
