Xbox live wireless adaptor

I have the old xbox wireless adaptor plugged into my new xbox 360.

I just played Fifa World Cup on LIVE and it was crap, there was a lot of lag and was impossible to play properly, this never happened playing on the old xbox (well very rarely).

Anyway does anyone know if the new wireless adaptor performs any differently than the old one? By the wayh i bought the original one from amazon.com as they were never sold in Ireland or Europe i think.

    Any replies would be appreciated.

I'd say you'll need the new wireless adaptor for the 360. If you were allowed to use the old one I'd guess you would've heard something about it by now.

i have the 360 wireless adaptor and have also used a wet-11 linksys wireless bridge on my 360's and i have noticed no diffrence in performance.

have you had this trouble with all your games ?

I also find that world cup can be very laggy. Every other game was fine but 7 out of 10 times world cup 06 was just laggy online

I want to get the wireless adaptor when I get my 360, where would be the best cheapest place to get it online or in store?

you could share that connection? (hook the 360 up to the ethernet card)

Hooked it up last night and connected to xbox live and had a blast on online Prey with no discernable delay.

American or Asian ones would be fine wouldn't they?! They'd work ok like?

Er. Dunno if it'll work with an internal wireless card (I don't see why not though). I have a pcmia card.

    Anyway, go into start/settings/network connections.

Right click on the wireless connection and click on properties.

In the Advanced tab check ICS allowed (internet connection sharing) and click ok.

Hook up the 360 to the laptop with a crossover ethernet cable.

Give the computer a minute to assign it addresses etc.

[note: I had to disable my firewall to allow the 360 to connect).

Also, if you download Windows Media Connect http://www.xbox.com/en-US/pcsetup/
you can play music/look at pictures directly from your computer on the 360.

Crossover ethernet cable is the long grey network cable that came with the 360. You can get them in any computer shop.

You plug one end in the network port at the back of the xbox (it's beside the usb port) and the other end into the ethernet port of your laptop.

Make sure your firewall is disabled.

Then give the computer a minute or two. Then try and connect with xbox live on the 360.

That should get ya sorted :)
