For the Munster final match it was Observe who were doing the uplink and the van had a what looked like a 1.5M or 1.8M dish and "High Definition Television" emblazoned across the side of the trucks. Unfortunately, forgot to bring the camera on that day.

Some nice pics there Zaphod. Woudl that dish on the OB van be self-aligning? I assume its motorised and folds flat when in transit.

I'd imagine they're fully automated alright. Maplin even carry motorised dishes for camper vans now in their latest instore catalogue - around €650 AFAIR.

I saw the TG4 Van once up at a Longford match I was at. The dish on it I reckon was about 1.6ish?

Imagine the fun we could have if we robbed one :) ICDG TV!

    Some excellent pics there.
I always see the news vans outside the government buildings nearly every Tuesday and Thursday.
I must get a good look at the system.
And the van always seem to be Merc. sprinters :D
