Installing with Kubuntu

I just recently decided to install Kubuntu (which is brilliant so far, everything working straight out of the box), I have a good bit of experience with Debian but have never actually used a window manager in any form.

I was just wondering, when I installed firefox via apt ("sudo apt-get install firefox") , it installed perfectly except it doesnt show up in K Menu. Im too lazy to "firefox &" every time.

Any ideas how I would go about getting it to show up in K Menu?

edit: Also if somone knows of a wifi manager that supports WPA and PEAPS it would be great. It seems Wireless Assistant doesnt cut it.
