Has anybody noticed that on the NASN website it mentions that it is in negotiations with the NFL for next season's coverage? Anybody know what that means? Could they be getting games themselves to show or do Sky Sports have a definate exclusive rights thing? Anybody able to shed light please do...

Also dunno whether this is in right place so feel free to move it if needs be (its double posted in the American Football thread)

I doubt they'll get the rights as Five already has this.

Due to British Brodcasting rights they will never show live games because of Sky and Five. They are in Negotiations for NFL Total Access and NFL Films which belongs to the NFL TV Station and ESPN. In Germany and other European countries they already have shown NFL live games and own the rights to the NFL in Germany.

They already have those shows but it seems for months they have been fighting to keep th contract alive so I would imagine they are re-negotiating the terms. As someone else said in the American football section they might try and hit for some live games as the NFL Network have gotten rights to their own games in th states weird huh needing to get rights. The wonderful world of television.

But with Sky there I would say NASN will find it very hard to negotiate the terms of a deal considering Mr Murdoch's influence on alot of networks.
