Playing Videos on Xbox 360

    hey, does anyone know if I convert my video files (divx etc.) to MPEG1, MPEG2 format & put them on a hard drive, if I then connect it to my Xbox 360 will you be able to play the videos on the xbox?

    Or even better is there a way to play divx or xvid on the 360?

    I think that the only way of doing that is if you have a PC with media center XP installed, and then they are still only actually playing on the PC.

    Yeah you need a Media Center PC to what any video on you 360, but you can't watch DivX ect.

    However there is a pack you can get that allows you to watch DivX and all on the 360 but you will still need the media Center PC.

    There is a thread on it in here somewhere, I'll look then edit this post.
