    Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has managed to run a Linux distros on a PPC Mac via emulation? I have an iMac G5 and I want to be able to run a windows distros (ideally Kubuntu) from within OS-X.

Has anyone managed to do this?

Best thing to do is to download the kubuntu PPC build, and burn the ISO.

    http://nl.releases.ubuntu.com/releases/kubuntu/6.06/

A link to the downloads of kubuntu. You can then either use it off the live CD (just put the cd in, and restart, it runs from the CD)
Or create a partition on your Mac, and install it that way. Be careful though, some people do wipe thier entire hard disk while partitioning. Be sure to read up about it, and be patient.

I did see a program that runs other OS's from within OS-X but it was more inclined for the new intel macs.

Unfortunately I only need it for one application and so rebooting is not an option it has to be run via emulation.

Im looking at Q for Mac OS-X at the moment but its Linux support is limited. I was hoping someone here had a similar setup so I could ask them to test it for me.
