    i got nintendogs for xmas and recently got another version of it does anyone know how i unlock all the species into the one game??

    does it have to be done by bark mode??

    I'd say you have to use bark mode in some way as there's no other way of the two games communicating with each other.. as Dalmatian and Friends is the new version, I wouldn't be 100% certain that the breeds found in that version of Nintendogs will be found in the older ones, you can still try I guess.. Hey, on a side note, why did you buy the same game again?, all you got was an extra breed or two.. crazy!..

    traded spyro for the other one lol couldn't play it at all and was hoping to get my hands on a second hand ds for my sisters birthday and use it for that.

    so looks like i need another ds to do it??

    You unlock the breeds by earning trainer points or by doing bark mode.
    Just keep entering your dog in competitions, making friends with other dogs, training it and picking up it's crap to earn points.
