WSOP Spoilers Request

Would people mind not putting WSOP result spoilers in the title of threads? I want to wait for the TV coverage to see what happens. Maybe I'm asking too much, this is a poker forum for talking about poker after all!

As far as possible. I'm sure I'll hear who the main event champ is and a few other things but i hope to close my eyes to alot. I can just pretend its live when I watch it, I'm quite delusional you know

Maybe its not going to happen, but if people contain spoilers to withing the threads at least people have a choice if they want to find out of not.

You have not got a hope in hell of doing this,sometimes I try this with the football results.Its a simple plan try and get to 10pm on Saturday night without knowing the results of games so I can watch Match of the Day.Its so hard I have stopped trying.

I think I've a shot. I didn't know either chan or brunson got their 10th braclet last year, and didn't know who won the main event excpet that it was a PP qualifier. Its easy enough if I don't go to card rooms with cards player mags etc all over the place. Boards.ie is really my only poker contact otehr than playing online and home games. I watch loads of poker on TV, but it is all delayed by months like the ESPN coverage so that doesn't give it away either.

Hi Mr Flibble,
I agree with Dub13, that this will be almost impossible for you to achieve unless you turn off the internet for a few months!
The problems are trying to get people to either use the spoiler tags, or to name their threads correctly so that you know there will be WSOP information inside.
Even then, there might be an innocent thread about a cash game hand where someone will mention "it's like that final table hand between Hachem and internet donk where...".

Finally while I agree that I would personally prefer to watch the WSOP when it airs without knowing the finer details, this is a poker forum after all and we can't really ask people not to talk about the events at the WSOP.

I'll have a think about it though.

You don't have to wait as long this year. ESPN will start airing the main event about two weeks after it finishes:

Ah man, they're showing the FT live. I know I'm going to watch that before waiting before waiting for the rest of the main event shows. Thats a predicament
