Hey everyone, i did a quick search and could find nobody asking for recommendations on the new intel based mini macs.

I'm going into second year comp sci and would like a nice unix based machine to do projects etc from home. i also have a Dell inspiron 9300 which i got last year. Its a pretty sweet laptop... even plays BF2.

I just want to be able to remote connect to the college's linux server without any hassle or having to dual-boot my laptop with fedora or something ele.

Also a one or two of my lecturers have recommended macs and some firends of mine rate them highly. i will use the mini for programming/photoshoppage and possibly tv depending on the size of monitor i can afford; i would just like god's honest truth recommendations before i invest in a new comp (i am a student afterall [sorry for playing that card] )

if i decide to get one it will be tommorrow or sunday that i'll order it.

Thanking in advance for help seeing as i'm usually bad at replying; note my low postage!:D
